Diaries of a crush: five things about you
by popular demand here's to hoping there's a part 2 I guess
I tend to remember a lot of details about people and the things they like, especially when they’re important to me. And I love to give people gifts or send them notes that I think will encourage them and make them feel loved. I’ve had friends tell me that thoughtfulness is one of their favorite things about me. Perhaps it’s my attempt to remind people that they are seen and that they are accepted exactly as they are in the moment. But, still, I spend an inordinate amount of time worrying about how I’m perceived by people, or if I’m too much. And for the longest time assumed most people were annoyed by me (lol).
So, naturally, if someone gets to the level of a crush I start thinking about the ways I’d try to show them that they’re appreciated and valued and accepted if things progressed. So here are five of the things I’ve noticed and how my brain converts them into questions that I wish I could ask them.
Flower drawings on your phone case (what’s your favorite flower? would you like to plant flower bulbs together that would bloom in the spring? do you like cards with hand drawn flowers on them?)
Perfectly applied mint green nail polish (do we have the same favorite color?)
You want to visit more towns nearby (can I show you my favorite spots in each one? and buy you (dairy free) coffees along the way?)
Psalm 73:26 is one of your favorites (would you accept my heart even when it’s worn down?)
Your friend told me you like fiber arts, too (how soon is too soon to knit something for you?)
I hope all of you find your life filled with people who will remember and treasure the littlest things about you <3
THIS IS SO CUUUTE 😭😭😭😭💕
